On Saturday Jonny and Paul went down for the 3rd round of this year’s NI Colour Series, starting at Meelmore Lodge in the Mourne Mountains. Both ran the ‘Brown’ course, which covered 21 controls over 8.9km. The conditions over the mountain were very dry and this lead to some fast running underfoot and some fast finishing times, especially the winner, Ivan Millar, who completed the course in 63.58 and for Billy Reed who was only 12 seconds behind in second place. Jonny was a further 13 minutes behind in 4th and Paul, after learning the hard way not to run without his contacts/glasses finishing 37 minutes behind Ivan in 8th.
