Tonight was the start of the LVO 2008 WEE orienteering series; WEE standing for Wednesday Evening Events.

The WEE Series is organised and run by Lagan Valley Orienteers (LVO) during the summer months, to promote orienteering to a wider audience as well as to provide the regulars with a challenging mid-week run.

Basically they are a series of sprint events ranging from 3 to 4 km in length. On the long course the competition is fast and furious, but excellent fun and a great excuse to get out for an extra training run during the week.

The first event was held at Malone House in Belfast and both Jonny and Paul competed in the 3.5km course. Jonny came 1st with a fast time of 20:48 and Paul finished 2 minute 25 second behind in 4th place.
